This was one of the most highly anticipated PSP games ever. The game was pretty much a let down because of all it was made out to be. Don't get me wrong this is a good game, but the game is not as good as it was said to be. The "GT Graphics" are a big hoax as this game looks identical to the original Gran Turismo for the playstation 1 just with newer cars and a few more tracks. The lack of online play was a big let down. Gran Turismo does have some fun tracks to race on such as "Ice Arena" and "Cathedral Rocks Trails 1-3" and some nice road tracks, but i prefer the dirt and snow tracks. The overall challenge of this game is limited. It has no story mode or career mode like the playstation 2&3 versions of the Gran Turismo series. Cars are unlocked buy winning credit in races and then purchasing them from the main menu, which gives you 4 dealers that will change after every 2 events. There are 3 types of events that you can play: Single Race, Time Trial, and Drift Challenge. There is a challenge mode but all you do in it is complete short challenges that do not really unlock anything but they do earn you credits to purchase new cars. I guess that I am making this game sound really bad, which i dont mean to do. its a good game I'm just not sure if it is worth $40. The realism of the car setup is unbelievable. You can change everything from tire pressure to spring height. I would give Gran Turismo PSP an overall 7 of 10. What made the game such a letdown was that it was supposed to be a 10 of 10 game based on what Sony made it up to be.
