| A team of US Navy SEALs stormed the heavily guarded compound he was in, which was about 30 miles from Islamabad, Pakistan. He was killed from a shot to head, and no US casualties were sustained. His adult son and a woman that was used as a shield were also killed, and Bin Laden's body was dropped in the ocean so his followers wouldn't use his burial ground as a shrine to make him a martyr.
